The Stringbean has to get inspection prepped for tomorrow (headlight swap) and some generic suspension maintenance done. It's always a scary feeling getting that phone call. You'll either hear "it's ready for pickup" or "well we had to fail it for _____" or "Bobby Joe totaled it when he took it out for a test drive to check the alignment" -actually that wouldn't be as bad because insurance + excuse to go car shopping.
Picture unrelated.

I remember inspection, man back in NJ when I had inspections I would fail for the silliest shit.
One time it was over a bad wiper blade.
But we could do a private inspection or take it to the state facility for free and you'd wait inline an then walk with your car as it moved through the "assembly line" of tests

Thankfully the place I go isn't so bad - they've ignored my tint and exhaust enough times. I'd like to keep my current setup in there and see if they pass it as is.. what's the worst they do? Fail it and I go swap the headlights out like I was going to anyways?

basically.
You'll probably get a FAIL sticker and you'll have 45 days to repair/reinspect. How it worked in NJ anyhow.
I don't deal with that anymore in MI.
